Position: AGM – Sales & Marketing     Function: Sales and Marketing    Industry : Real Estate

 
       
   

General Purpose:       

Responsible for total revenue development within the facility through sourcing, securing and maximizing all sales and marketing opportunities.

 Essential Duties:

  • Provide a professional, advisory and executive support service to the General Manager to assist in meeting the strategic goals of the establishment.
  • Participate in the preparation of the Strategic Business and Operating Plans.
  • Share in the establishment of revenue targets for the annual hotel Business Plan for golf, F&B, Club membership and minor operating departments.
  • According to Troon instructions, prepare annual Sales and Marketing Plan.
  • As a result of evidence from market research, take responsibility for the development of new product and guest services in all revenue earning departments, consistent with the goal of exceeding guest expectations.
  • Direct the activities of the internal associates outside agencies on public relations, advertising and direct sales & marketing campaigns. Supervise the quality and standard of all sales promotional aids, collaterals and merchandising items.
  • Analyse the activities of competitor facilities, including their customer base, with the aim of developing and securing new business and providing a market advantage.
  • As directed, participate in trade shows, conventions and promotional events, within the hotel, the industry and customer organisations.
  • Manager of personal account base of the facilities top accounts.
  • Maximising opportunities for the property to be featured in brochures, travel features, directories, newsletter and other promotional material and programs.
  • Ensure the effective use of up to date technology in the sales arena. This will encompass but not be limited to the full and extensive use databases to ensure ease of access to information to Sales and Reservations staff.
  • Participation in developing and reviewing rate structures and conditions applicable to various segments, based on market feedback and market conditions.
  • Ensure department maintains clear and detailed files on all clients including information on results of each communication with corporate clients.
  • Undertake to arrange familiarisations for any clients who have good potential to produce business.
  • Forecasts, controls and reviews expenditures in accordance with Annual Plan.
  • Develop and action a comprehensive promotional schedule addressing revenue and image development activities
  • Identify, evaluate and secure appropriate sponsorships that generate exposure for Facility and assist in the development of revenues and image.
  • On an ongoing basis, develop and implement a comprehensive plan of action that addresses:
    1. Public Relations – local, regional, national
    2. Collateral and display materials
    3. Direct marketing mail campaigns
    4. Advertising radio, press, magazine and TV in all market areas as required.
  • Ensure that all associates comply with the grooming and uniform standards.
  • Conduct development and performance reviews, identifying key personnel for further development and structured career pathing.
  • Implement and maintain training systems to ensure that associates have the necessary framework and skills to perform their job efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare work schedules and annual leave schedules within budget, business expectations and guidelines of the appropriate industrial legislation.
  • Oversee the selection and appointment of new associates within the department.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to keep all associates informed.
  • Ensure compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within the workplace.
  • Comply with all Troon and Facility Standards and Procedures.
  • Promote by example the “Guiding Principles”.
  • Actively promote a work environment, which cares for guests and associates alike.
 
       
         
 

Position: BDM – Market research    Function: Operations/Supply chain    Industry : Real estate

 
       
   

Responsibility

  1. Evaluate business opportunities involving land and asset valuation.
  2. Short listing cities for operation, within the region, through market research and analysis.
  3. Identify micro markets and carry out feasibility studies, within cities, for real estate development.
  4. Carry out financial analysis to check the viability of the Proposed project.
  5. Preparing detailed analysis, presentations, calculations, etc. including detailed qualitative analysis and preparing written report to the board for approval.
  6. Constantly monitor markets in terms of demand & supply.

Job Description:

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Formulating all above the line & below the line activities, short term and long-term budgets and developing business plans for the achievement of these goals
  • Managing entire publicity and promotional operations with a view to achieve business objectives for a specific title and ensure top line and bottom line profitability
  • Generating leads and capitalising on corporate sponsorships / partnerships and update the management about performance and facilitate the decision making process
  • Conceptualising and creating marketing collaterals in line to extend brand awareness and increase visibility  for specific titles amongst target audiences
  • Promotion of specific brands through special events
  • Tracking competitors position in the market, pricing, discounts, promotions and product information through primary and secondary data collection points and preparing quarterly reports
  • Planning & implementing internal and external communications to all tiers of management and external vendors
  • Maintaining relationships with key media organizations to generate coverage for books through reviews, author interviews, event coverage etc.
  • Ensuring continuous interaction with the customer to make sure that area of concern can be worked upon for improved service levels and implementing customer retention programme through various schemes.

Key KPIs (where relevant)

  • Manage publicity and promotions plans for authors and books as decided, and maintain a progress flow on all plans
  • Manage print marketing for specified books, and also coordinate with dispatch for timely and error-free delivery of the same
  • Liaise with media to ensure regular and high coverage for books and authors
  • Coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure smooth planning and execution of events and author tours
  • Regular and timely liaising with authors for promotion and publicity plans, queries, and for coordination with the media

Knowledge & Skills                           

  • Graduate / MBA in Marketing
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Publishing / Relevant sector 
  • Excellent communication Skills
  • Creative
  •  Ability to work on one’s own initiative
  • Should have excellent contacts with agencies.
